Christie is a dynamic and experienced public health consultant with two decades of experience. As the founder and president of CVH Consulting, LLC, Christie is dedicated to creating engaging and effective health education experiences. With a deep understanding of instructional design principles and a commitment to improving public health outcomes, Christie has become a valuable asset in the field. Her clients will tell you she is uniquely capable of quickly understanding the populations she serves and your organization's needs. From her first foray as a health educator in rural South Africa with the Peace Corps, Christie has developed and delivered hundreds of workshops, seminars, and training sessions, engaging diverse audiences and fostering a deeper understanding of public health issues. One of her outstanding attributes is her ability to communicate complex health information in a relatable and accessible manner.

Outside the classroom, Christie has advised numerous students on research projects, study abroad opportunities, and career paths, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals. She also teaches medical, nursing, and physician assistant students as an AHEC Scholars program faculty member.

Christie is a passionate and dedicated advocate for women’s rights and has spent her life tirelessly working to advance gender equality on multiple fronts. She is currently the vice-chair of the National Women’s Health Network’s Board of Directors. As a vocal advocate, Christie meets with her elected officials on the local, state, and national levels to ensure reproductive rights for all. Beyond her advocacy work, she is a speaker and contributor to raising awareness about equity and women’s health issues. Christie has made several appearances on health-related podcasts to discuss health equity, her role as a public health consultant, and patient engagement. In 2021, she was the co-host of FLOW, a monthly show for menstruating individuals who experience extreme bleeding. Other volunteer work includes serving on the Institutional Biosafety Committee at Vassar College, sitting on the Community Impact Council of her local United Way, and speaking on health disparities at local and nationwide events.
